Veldeman, producer of mattresses, box springs, slatted bases and sofa beds, is switching its entire production environment from fluorescent lighting to LED. ‘Our motivation is both economic and ecological,’ explains Paul Schreurs, Technical Director at Veldeman. ‘We’re expecting around a 20% saving in our costs and energy consumption.’

Cigar manufacturer Scandinavian Tobacco Group replaced all the fluorescent lighting in one of its production halls with LED lights.

Harol, manufacturer of sun protection blinds, awnings, garage doors and outdoor living products, replaced its fluorescent lamps with LED lighting in two production halls. The result: expected energy savings up to 60% and 40% more light with fewer lamps.

Stainless steel manufacturer Aperam Genk is counting on ESAS to replace all its lighting with LED lights over the next 2.5 years. This will improve lighting for employees and give them a more pleasant environment to work in, with the organisation also making an energy saving of 50-70%.

Dutch energy provider Eneco has been using Toon since 2012. Toon is a smart thermostat which you can use to remotely control your heating and monitor your energy consumption, so saving up to 10% on energy costs. Toon can do a lot more besides, such as operate smart lighting and keep track how much power your solar panels are generating.

Telenet has selected ESAS as one of the structural partners for the large-scale project known as ‘The Great Network Site’ (De Grote Netwerf): an upgrade of the fixed network to 1 GHz to meet the ever-growing demand for Internet capacity.
