LED lighting by ESAS

ESAS will help your organisation switch to energy-efficient LED lighting and ensure your investment is nearly always recouped within two years. As an independent partner, ESAS installs the best technology for your working environment.

Collaborating with ESAS means project management from start to finish. You have a direct line to our experts who can answer all your questions every step of the way. We start by carrying out a lighting survey and developing a plan before installing all the cables, fittings and lights. We always re-use existing fixtures where possible.

ESAS can also provide support applying for grants so you can recoup some of your investment straight away. And we provide a five-year warranty as standard. If something goes wrong during this period, we come and fix or replace it free of charge.

Why do a lighting survey?

ESAS starts by performing a lighting survey so we know exactly how many lights are required and where best to install them for optimum lighting. You might need fewer lights than your exiting setup because LED systems are brighter than all other forms of lighting. A lighting survey can therefore lead to big savings in both the short and long term.

ESAS offers you an efficient and energy-saving lighting solution, specially designed for your room layout and its purpose, also taking natural light into account. You can count on a team of specialist technicians and a lightning-fast planning department for your installation. The result is an energy-efficient and appealing work environment.

The benefits of LED

You might need to switch to LED lighting because it’s required by the European climate plan, but there are lots of other good reasons to opt for LED, too:

LED lights are the most energy-efficient form of lighting, with consumption of 2.5 to 5 watts, which is much less than regular light bulbs, halogen spotlights or fluorescent lamps. Even energy-saving bulbs use up to three times more energy than LED lights.

Greater light output

LED lights convert around 50% of the energy they consume into visible light. Energy-saving bulbs and fluorescent lamps only convert around 35%, and for regular light bulbs it’s just 10%. So switching to LED means you need fewer lights for the same brightness.

The lower consumption and higher light output results in a 65-70% saving on average, so the investment in LED is usually recouped within two years.

LED lights reduce your ecological footprint. They consume 90% less energy than traditional light bulbs, last 50 times longer, and emit 40 kg less CO2. They also don’t contain any mercury or other hazardous metals and are fully recyclable.

Long life

An LED light lasts for 50,000 lit hours on average. For comparison: a regular light bulb lasts for 1000 hours and an energy-saving bulb is good for 6000. So you spend much less time and money replacing them too. LED lights are dimmable and don’t need any time to warm up; they produce their full light output as soon as you switch them on.

LED lights heat up much less than ordinary bulbs. Regular light bulbs convert around 90% of the energy they consume into heat, but this is just 10% for LED lights, making them an efficient and (fire) safe solution.

Vibration and shock resistant

LED lights are very vibration and shock resistant, so they last much longer too.

The EU Climate Plan 20-20-20

The Climate Plan 20-20-20 is aiming for 20% less energy consumption, 20% less CO2 emissions, and 20% more renewable energy by 2020. The sale of regular light bulbs stopped in 2012 to help achieve this saving in energy, and fluorescent bulbs are also being discontinued. LED lighting will soon become the norm.

ESAS does much more than simply install products; you receive a comprehensive service before, during and after your switch to LED. And we give you a five-year warranty as standard. We will come and replace any defective lights or fix any other faults free of charge during this period. And you can always count on our expertise for any other issues during or after these five years, too.

LED leasing

Switching to LED lighting will quickly cut your costs. If the initial investment is putting you off, you can always opt for a finance deal. ESAS works together with a financial partner to help you agree a favourable payment plan, to keep your lighting project in line with your operational costs so you don’t need to delve too deeply into your budget all at once.

ESAS is not affiliated with any product suppliers so we only take your needs and wishes into account. We work out a plan to suit you. We offer you the most suitable technology for your commercial space based on our lighting survey and plan. After all, a production hall has very different lighting requirements to a shop or architectural office. One room will need much more light than another, for example, and design is a very important aspect of office environments, too. You’re always given a choice of three options. And we always keep a payback period of two years in mind.

Smart lighting

Save even more by opting for smart lighting, which can be set to switch on and off at particular times. External sensors also mean it can adapt to its conditions. A light sensor, for example, can make it shine less brightly when exposed to sunlight, and movement sensors can be used to switch it on and off when they detect someone entering or leaving the room. ESAS can integrate these sensors in your light fittings or add external sensors.

Smart lighting is often used for street lamps or outdoor lighting, but is definitely useful in offices and warehouses, too. Lampposts can also be used as charging points for electric vehicles and even as wireless hotspots or network masts for 5G/LTE.
